
Hunting is done from the Stephan Lake Lodge and several outlying cabins, along with well-equipped tent spike camps. There are no horses, hunting is done on foot from spike camps. |

All hunting is fair chase and you are prohibited from hunting the same day that you fly, either to the lodge or spike camp. |

Grizzly Bear are plentiful in this area and generally run 7-8' with occasionally a 9' + being taken. Hunting season is August 10 to May 31 Black Bear are also high in population and size runs 6-7' on the average. This season is open all year. |

Moose usually average 60" to 70". We have several in the Boone & Crockett Record Book with most making the SCI Record Book. Open season is September 1 to September 15 |

The weather during hunting season is variable but you can usually count on several days of rain and fog with occasional snow fall in the higher elevations later in the season. License and tags are available for purchase at the Lodge. Fishing is available, at no extra charge, time permitting. |
